Calvin Yiwei Shaw is originally from Irvine, California, where his family immigrated from China. Currently, he is a senior majoring in Anthropology with a minor in Jewish Studies, focusing on Jewish history. After graduation, he plans to apply to law school. As an undergraduate fellow, he aims to explore the intersections of law and gender within contemporary Jewish society. In addition to his academic pursuits, he works at a railroad company, where he’s been involved in railway projects in Mongolia. He is passionate about photography, particularly in wildlife and landscape. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, running, and bird watching. He looks forward to leveraging his diverse experiences to make meaningful contributions in his future endeavors.
