Lihi Lahat is a Fall 2024 Helen Diller Institute Visiting Scholar. She holds a BA in political science, an MA cum laude in public policy, and a Ph.D. in public policy from Tel Aviv University, where her dissertation focused on policymakers' perceptions of poverty. From 2018 to 2021, she advised the Israeli Minister of Labor, Social Affairs, and Social Services as the public representative on the Social Work Committee. She is also a board member of ESPAnet Israel and the Association for Israel Studies (AIS). Professor Lahat's research covers collaborative governance, the effect of policy on the uses of time and well-being, and public employees’ well-being and function in current challenging times. Professor Lahat’s papers have been published in various journals, including International Review of Administrative Science, Journal of Management & Governance, The ANNALS of the American Academy of Political and Social Science, and many more. She also is a co-editor, with Dr. Neta Sher-Hadar and Professor Itzhak Galnoor, of the book ‘Collaborative Governance: Theory and Lessons from Israel’ (Palgrave Macmillan, 2021).
