About the Visiting Faculty and Scholars Program
Each year, the Visiting Faculty and Scholars Program brings Israeli faculty to UC Berkeley to teach Berkeley students across a variety of disciplines. Visitors engage in Helen Diller Institute programs throughout the year as speakers, moderators, and collaborators, building fruitful relationships with colleagues and students. The single biggest priority of the Institute when selecting visitors for the coming year is the quality of teaching. We want faculty who are stellar instructors, accessible to students, and focused on welcoming diverse experiences and stimulating open and reasoned discussion in the classroom. The Institute also hosts visiting scholars who come to pursue their own research while on sabbatical and engage with the Institute’s programs and scholarly community.
